Where a law requires a legal basis, we process account and reminder data as necessary to provide Remy and perform our contract with you. We process crash and diagnostic information based on our legitimate interests in securing, debugging, and improving Remy. We limit this processing to information reasonably needed for those purposes. Where applicable, we also process information to comply with law and protect users, Remy, and our legal rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests as described below.
Your data is stored on Convex’s cloud infrastructure and cached locally on your device for offline use. Authentication tokens are kept in secure, platform-provided storage (Keychain on iOS, encrypted storage on Android). Sentry diagnostic data is sent to Sentry’s European Union region. Sentry and its subprocessors may also access or process data in the United States, Canada, Austria, the Netherlands, and other locations listed in Sentry’s subprocessor documentation. Those countries may have different privacy laws, and information may be available to courts, law enforcement, or national-security authorities under local law.
For transfers from the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on applicable adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension where available, and contractual safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum. We require service providers to protect personal information under contract and use comparable safeguards for transfers from other countries. You may contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data in transit and at rest.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.
We keep account and reminder data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete that data from our active systems, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup retention needs. Sentry crash and diagnostic events are retained for no longer than 90 days, then deleted or anonymized, subject to limited backup retention and any shorter account setting. We may keep aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.
Remy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Remy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
